Hooray.

AG was awesome. Got to see a lot of old friends, play a lot of video games, and make fun of the internet a whole lot. SWAT is as fun as I remember it to be. The Stepmania cab they have there is absolutely amazing, as is the private game room with 2 projectors on opposite walls.

And of course, Matt Vanston. :D

I left there around 4:30 Sunday morning, drove back home, and slept for a little while before I got back up to do such amazing tasks like LAUNDRY and WASHING DISHES.

Once again, it’s only Monday and already I’m impatient for the weekend. That’ll teach me to make plans so far ahead!

Another fun night!

Liz hearts Pikachu. And Toys’R'Us trips for no reason aside from re-living childhood years are quite awesome.

Nintendo needs to make a Snorlax that size for a pillow. It’d be an instant hit, I swear.

It’s always an adventure with her, so much fun. We saw We Own The Night which was a lot better than we were expecting. Afterwards we just drove around for like an hour, discovering that there is really nothing in the general vicinity of New Hartford and there’s nothing to do at midnight aside from visit Wal-Mart and go to bars.

Lock-in at AdventureGames tonight… haven’t been there in like a year. I’m pretty stoked to see everyone. This weekend has started out with a bang, let’s keep it going!

No good reason to update.

Well, aside from posting this track because it’s so relaxing and chill.

Oakenfold remixed it, which would probably explain why it’s so awesome. It’s off of his 3CD greatest hits album, which I snagged earlier tonight. Surprise surprise, there is life after OiNK.

Busy busy day.

I’m in the last stages of this sickness, or so I hope. Lots of post nasal drip so I can’t stop blowing my nose. Annoying. Hopefully by Monday it’ll be all gone.

Today consisted of a drive to the junk yard to get a part for my car, the barber shop for a haircut, lots of cleaning around the house, and reorganizing my room.

Back to the short hair I go. It was getting too long, and a pain in the butt to style.

So much more room to store stuff. Now, I just need stuff to put there to store. I had to run that TV cable through the ceiling tiles, too. I felt like I was at work, since running cables is one of my jobs.

I was blessed with the old entertainment center that was originally in the living room, my parents got a new one. Now I can store all my video game stuff and spindles of CDs/DVDs in a place tucked away from everywhere else. And hooray for silly visualizations from my music player being TV-outed.

I had to make a run to Radio Shack too, to get couplers for my rear surround-sound speakers. Already had a set of male-male phono cables to extend the speakers, but no adapter. With that taken care of, now the speaker cables are out of sight for the most part, instead of being stretched around.

Tomorrow consists of work on the car, and filling out forms for my online courses to begin next month. I’m really hoping I can balance everything without becoming too stressed, we’ll see how that plays out soon enough.

Life is good.

Tonight was a good night with Liz, I’d say.

Ate dinner @ Outback Steakhouse, saw 30 Days of Night, and went wandering around Wal-Mart at midnight.

I could probably write more but I’m pretty exhausted. I’ll just smile. (-:

Pretty insightful article.

“I encourage our fans to acquire our album however they please. The philosophy I’ve adopted is that if you’re supporting disc sales, you’re keeping the old model around longer…the one that forces dudes like me to tour 9 mos/year if they want to make ends meet with a career in music.”

Quite possibly the most intelligent thing I’ve heard from an artist on the topic of music piracy yet.

This is the best thing I’ve gotten in the mail, in an extremely long time.

My friend Liz sent me an absolutely amazing box of goodies. My day hasn’t been the best so far, but coming home to this made it infinitely better.

Contents of the package:

-Pirate-themed coloring book with little action figures + stickers
-Crayons
-Spongebob soap sponge
-Flavored Tootsie Rolls
-Chopsticks
-Hello Kitty keychain
-Purple squid-like “Hairball” that flashes colors when you hit it hard
-A little ceramic lizard
-Stuffed penguin(!) that laughs and says “mmm fish” then makes a chomping noise when you squeeze it
-Mix CD with lots of awesometastic music

Just looking at all this stuff puts a cheesy grin on my face. She’s going to be gone this weekend which sucks but she sent me all this stuff so I’d be able to stay occupied in the meantime. (-:

Update update!

Work: Lots of sitting on the phone playing tech support. Not exactly what I signed up for, but it’s a job and it pays well enough. I’m sure things will change soon. Lately it’s just been a few outstanding issues that will be taken care of within the week so after that it’s on to bigger and better things.

Home: Still living in the basement for another few weeks while my grandmother is nursed back to health. I like it down here, more room, more privacy, just more relaxing.

Social:

Partying at Kait’s is a lot of fun.

Oh, nostalgia.

So, Sunday I had to head out to Dewitt to run a couple errands, and I decided that for the fun of it I’d stop at Shoppingtown Mall to see what’s happened to the place.

I parked in the lot that used to be the usual lot to park at – outside of FJ – and damn, just walking through those doors brought back so many memories. I could almost smell the cloves that Vince always smoked. Memories of the huge-ass Phat Al circles. Getting yelled at by rentacops for swinging glowsticks. Nipple tassles (don’t ask). DDR pun after DDR pun. So many friendships were made and broken, just in that one small spot outside the mall doors.

I walked upstairs to the food court, and the first thing that crossed my mind were the Genji Grill vs. Flaming Wok debates we always would have. And that one time we had SO many people that we made a line of tables to sit at, and it literally spanned the entire food court. I remember meeting up with Pete on multiple occasions for movies.

Walked into Fun Junction. The DDR machine was back in the spot where the 5th mix used to be. Of course, it’s SuperNOVA now. Remembered all the old crew of guys there, and the girls…damn we used to have a crowd of them it seemed. Lindsey, Yvonne, Kay, Rachel, Jordan, Jess, Michelle, the list goes on. And of course there’s Fiscoe, and Jenna. Oh man, does that bring me back.

Of course then I wander around a bit and see Fred working at one of the calendar kiosks. I’ve seen him around before, both at school (since he’s there at ITT now) and he was working at the Namco arcade at Carousel for a while. But just him there at the mall was just one more thing to the list.

Oh Team Zeal, as drama filled as it may have been, and as bad as the fallout of it all was… you really gotta admit there were some pretty awesome times.
