Since I won’t be home for the next two weeks, I have to prepare the basement as my own beforehand. I don’t have everything I need down there yet (the most essential thing being a bed) but I’ve gotten places with moving some of my stuff down there. Most of the work involves clearing out the stuff that’s already down there, and with that out of the way I can move my things in their place. This is pretty much all I’ve been doing all weekend, and my allergies are definitely taking a hit from the dust buildup. Thankfully I have non-drowsy medicine, and lots of it.

My collection of technical reading material. Everything from Windows XP to (ew) Fedora/RHEL, XHTML, Server 2003, Visual Basic.NET, CCNA, Network+, A+… quality reading for the whole family. Can’t forget the Sudoku book and the decks of cards – anyone up for Uno in the dark again?

Check it out guys, I has a record player. I now know everything there is to know about music genres and audio quality. Be on the lookout for my noise album soon. (sup setzer, lol)

Of course I needed a place for all my penguin plushes. They’re like one big happy family.
I also moved some other stuff down there not worth taking photos of (like items on my dresser). Soon enough I’ll have both computers down there, with the Linux box having 2 NICs with a crossover going to the Windows box so both have internet and can share files. I don’t know if I can run both LAN cables from the router down there yet, I’ll figure that in a couple weeks when my dad has the time to help me. That seems a bit excessive anyway, if I can avoid doing that I will.
Other than that, I really don’t have much else to move down there. I live a pretty simple life at home, I guess that means it won’t be much trouble for me when I finally decide to move out.
