This week has been pretty dull for me, nothing but school, work, and more work. And by “more work” I mean my other job doing web design and actually getting paid for it. But the code I’m looking at gives me a major headache because the guy who originally coded this site-that-shall-not-be-named was written so badly there are some things that I don’t comprehend at all. I got about a 5-page list of things to do and while I got nearly all of it done, there are few things that I literally cannot do because of how badly it was originally written. Where you think code needs to be changed, you’re wrong. And when you need to insert something small, you can never find the spot to add it in.
My final group project in school is finally taking the shape it needs to take, after getting all the kinks worked out. Had to redo Active Directory only 4 times, but it’s all set now. Stupid mistakes plagued the project, but they’re all ironed out now. Only a few things left to do on it. Along with documentation.
Still keeping my eyes open for another job, I don’t know how far this second job of mine is going to take me. My primary job (working at school) ends at the end of the month when I graduate, and while I only bring in $150/wk from it, it’s my main source of income. I live pretty simply, I guess you could say.
Getting the ball rolling on continuing my education online, so I’ll have that to work on. I just need more cash coming in.
