Yeah so the past couple weeks at work has been anything but dealing with computers. The netadmin and I have been given the job of doing site maintenence. We’ve had to empty out 2 electronics labs (containing tons of equipment, and 14 huge tables in each room) so that the floors could be waxed. We also had to paint parts of the rooms. With that all done, now we have to put everything back inside. We also have had to assemble metal shelves for the bookstore. This is all very time-consuming, and requires a lot of energy. The things we wanted to get done, are obviously not getting done. That’s life though.
At least I get to relax at night. Last night Lissa and I sat down and watched Interview With the Vampire, which is a pretty awesome movie. Fun times, she’s so cute. I’ve been out visiting family on previous nights, exchanging shots with my cousins and just having a good time chilling out. Holidays this year weren’t nearly as stressful as the past ones, what with my dad working on Christmas day. With my brother and sister home for the holidays it always seems to stress my mother out, but things were better this year.
I still have to upload the pictures from the holidays, I’ll attempt to get around to doing that later tonight. I still want to go on a photo adventure in the village, maybe if the weather’s nice I can do that, too. It’s been raining on and off the past few days, unfortunately.
I’m working on getting my basement turned into a home theatre, and this nearly completes it. I could use a better TV down there, or better yet a projector, but that’s for another time. Got a new desk and chair for my room, the one I have is so old and in desperate need of replacing. Clothes as usual, some other smaller gifts that were useful (i.e. blank cds/dvds, calendar, etc), and Juli sent me a big stuffed penguin
