Really haven’t had the chance to sit down and write a post I suppose. Lots going on.
First off, I got my grades back from last semester. 3.33. No complaints about that at all. I have a 3.5 overall for 2 semesters, definitly happy about that. I start workstudy in a couple weeks, which I’m totally psyched for. I get to tutor and do stuff in the library. I hope I get to work with my programming teacher from last semester because he was a blast and I enjoy helping him out a lot. They need programming tutors anyway, so it should work out well. As for my other job at the lovely grocery store known as Wegmans, they’re screwing me out of hours anyway so it’s good I have something to fall back on. I hardly get any hours during the week so I’ll just work there on the weekends. Of course this means I now work 7 days a week, but it’s money and I could definitly use something to keep myself occupied with.
As for the personal life, been up and down with Rach recently. I dunno, I’m really trying here and sometimes I just think I don’t do enough. I feel as though things are standing still and as much as I try to “do the right thing” it comes out the wrong way and only makes things worse. I worry too much. But when I can’t even be happy for what I have, it upsets me and I don’t really know what it is I’m supposed to do. I’m really trying here.
We went to NYC a couple weeks back and that was a fun escape, minus the driving. NYC driving is a pain in the ass, let me tell you. As is overpriced parking. But it was worth it. Pics of the Metropolitan Museum of Art are up in the gallery, so give them a look. We also went to the Museum of Sex, which was really awesome. We wanted to go to the Central Park Zoo too but it was too crowded and we didn’t have enough time. Ah well. We got a good amount of things done and I was happy to take the vacation.
I finally dumped Windows for good and installed Linux once and for all. I’ve used it many times before but not on a permanent basis. I’d always reboot into Windows to do this or that… I’m done doing that though. My only drawback is that my camera (a HP Photosmart E317) doesn’t have Linux drivers so I have to use my basement PC to drop the pics into, then SAMBA-share my way into it from here. No biggie.
